Director <\/i> <\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n
<\/code><\/code>JT is the Frederick Law Olmsted Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech where he is Director of the Network Dynamics Lab.\u00a0He specializes in investigating engineering network dynamics of industrial and societal importance. His current research focuses on; (1) achieving sustained energy conservation by coupling energy use with occupant networks and examining inter-building network phenomena in cities, and (2) understanding and improving response times by affected human networks during extreme events in urban areas. His research extends from developing virtual and augmented reality applications to collect and visualize urban scale data, to developing real-time interventions to improve urban sustainability and resilience. JT enjoys hanging out with his daughters, traveling and photographing the world, reading, running, cycling, and collecting\/creating art.<\/p>\n

Dr. Neda Madi<\/h3>\n
City Infrastructure Analytics Director <\/i> <\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n
Neda is research faculty in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Georgia Tech, and currently the City Infrastructure Analytics Director in the Network Dynamics Lab at Georgia Tech. She holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, where she studied the dynamic interrelationships between space-time fluctuations of human mobility and energy use in urban areas. Her primary research is in the area of city infrastructure systems with a focus on human-infrastructure system interactions. She primarily explores the complexities of evolving human-infrastructure interrelationships and their space-time fluctuations to quantify, explain, predict, and enhance urban dynamics towards sustainable urbanization.<\/p>\n

Zhangding Liu<\/h3>\n
PhD Student <\/i> <\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n
Zhangding Liu<\/a> is a Ph.D. student in the Computational Science and Engineering program at Georgia Tech. His research focuses on large language models, multimodal learning, digital twins, and smart cities. His work is focused on advancing artificial intelligence capabilities in understanding, reasoning, and interacting with complex real-world environments. Outside of academia, Zhangding enjoys playing basketball, exploring diverse cuisines, and traveling.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Yusen Su<\/h3>\n
PhD Student <\/i> <\/i><\/span><\/h3>\n
Yusen is a PhD student majoring in Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) at Georgia Tech. He also holds double master’s degrees in CSE and in Quantitative and Computational Finance at Georgia Tech. He received his BS degree in Engineering Management from Aston University, UK. His research focuses on leveraging AI and scalable machine learning algorithms to develop innovative solutions in engineering. Currently, he is researching data-centric decision-making solutions for smart cities and natural disaster response. Yusen is also working on a startup concept aimed at creating an autonomous wildfire control system. Aside from his academic pursuits, he enjoys cooking diverse cuisines, crafting cocktails, traveling, and practicing meditation.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n
